KF Airfoils in a Model Rocket?

I have seen and made model rockets for many years and most of the rocket kits or building rockets from scratch they usually have a v shape at the tip of the fin. I was wondering if putting Airfoils on the fins of the Rocket, would help the rocket to be more stable or more efficient from the drag that is produced from the large fins and putting the KF4 would help or any other airfoil?
