Have you ever thought about some of the phrases and cliches we use? What's your favorite?

Well long in the tooth is when you get older your gums recede (nice) making your teeth look longer! Kick the bucket they say great many years ago a crazed man unhappy with life's experiences tied a noose round his neck stood on a bucket then kicked it away. Most of it can be looked up the only one Heavens to Betsy doesn't seem to have an explanation. As is Heavens to Murgatroud !! What about hold your horses or the cat got your tongue(ouch).
