Does anyone else think it's weird to kiss your child on the lips?

For example, I've seen parents in stores kiss their children on the lips. Personally, I find it disturbing, why exactly do some parents choose to do that? Isn't a kiss on the cheek just as good? You may call me juvenile but I think it's grotesque. Doesn't it bother anyone else?
