B guitar or banjo?

I am a 14 year old boy looking to take up an instrument, b guitar vs the banjo, and I'm not sure which to choose. I don't have any background experience with either, so I am looking for advice. I like the loudness and booming noise of the b, but I don't like to keep the beat I like to be showy also. My price range is also under 200 dollars, so can you help me please? Thanks!
